Trophy Country Turkey Hunting
The National Wild Turkey Federation spring harvest reports consistently show Missouri and Macon County at the top of
spring kills. For either the experienced hunter or the beginner, turkey hunting is one of America's most challenging and artistic hunting experiences.
Trophy Country is blessed with an abundance of great habitat and a bountiful supply of Eastern species of wild turkey. When the birds are congregating in flocks, it is not unusual to see groups of 100 or more birds.
Missouri Turkey Hunting
Past year's regulations have allowed hunting from one-half hour
before sunrise to 1:00pm. The afternoons are left open for scouting out that particular trophy you might desire or other activities such as fishing, shooting sports, and mushroom hunting.
During the first week you can kill one bird and two birds taken on successive days during the final two weeks. The fall season is Oct 1st-31st. You can take two birds of either sex and they can be taken on the same day during the fall season
